recruitment updates

Hey ladies,

Just wondering how everyone is doing with their recruitment efforts?? I spoke with Emily via email after I messed up with my reply all... I mentioned that she should talk with esp Betsy at summer league about our bowling fundraiser. It sounds like she is someone who would both work very hard to get people to attend and would benefit from having a few extra dollars. But it got me thinking -- how are we doing with recruiting in general?? Has Molly or Eleanor or Courtenay or Kara expressed any interest??

Well it's time for week 1 of training in Rochester to commence. Last week was tough for me b/c I had 8 finals during the week and I spent a lot of dinners with people that I won't get to see all summer, so my workouts definitely suffered - but I'm ready to turn that around! See you guys for Chicago Cup!

Hey T,
I bugged the Michigan ladies, but it looks like they are all unavailable. Kara and Eleanor are out of town and Molly might be in New Zealand. I'm becoming more and more of a "no" because I really don't think I can afford the trip right before our big trip to the Middle East. I'm already in the red for my own personal budget. But, I will still continue to train just in case!

Soo... just to toss it out there, at what point do we pull the plug on this? If Jeanne is a no and Amanda is potentially a no (Amanda -- still the case??), do we have enough of a team?!

I still would like to keep it as an option. Moe has a friend in Boston and I think she was going to talk to her.
I will talk more to Emily during summer league. And I think we can get some girls from Summer League as well.
I think it's too soon to pull the plug.

As for training.... I did pretty well last week although I did not follow your plan exactly. Step class on Monday, run 3 miles on Tuesday, muscle conditioning class on Wednesday, Summer league on Thursday, Friday I was all sore, and Saturday run a 5K for the girls on the run thing (a little slower than normal, but not too slow) and practice later (which was a total waste of time for me as I touched 3 balls in the whole practice)
Anyway, this week is the same except for Monday that I didn't really do anything. Work is killing me.
